If you had three months to go on a winter roadtrip where would you go and how long would you stay at each place? We're talking reasonable funds here, be realistic. Think poor climber.

rick climber, go to Europe.
Poor climber, Mexico and USA, allow me to elaberate:

(i'm assuming you have a car) Go to Mexico, El Potrero Chico is the most popular area, start there and if interested you can hook up with other climbers there and go to other areas in Mexico (El Salto is only 2 hours away. also Guadalajara is cool too), but Potrero is the main place.

the amount of time you spend in each area is up to you, after Vegas i would suggest Vegas. cheap, fun and LOTS of areas all around (VRG, Red Rocks etc). also Bishop and J-tree are good winter destinations (i like Mexico the most though, check out Kurt Smith website for more info on it, www.potrerochico.com)

good luck

If I had the winter months, I would go to Peru. I have always wanted to go there.
In the summer months (I know it isn't part of the question, but oh well) I would spend all my time in Alaska.

Well, at the time their respective messages were posted, both fiend and manboy were living in Ontario, so manboy's suggestions are, geographically, probably better suited to you than to fiend.

I've really only done trips in spring, summer and fall, so I don't have much to say on winter road trips myself. I think in most US locations you have to gamble on the weather if you're sensitive to the cold.

Okay, but his suggestions were actually Mexico, Nevada and California. As I said, that's geographically more favorable to you than it is to the ex-Ontarionites.
