Having trouble finding reviews on the Kayland, plenty on the Nepal, if you have any input on either of these boots let me know. Please...

I haven't used either boot (i'm a more warm weather person), but from what I've seen at my shop, Kayland has really poor quality control.

I a friend has the Kaylands. He likes them, but his pair totally fell apart the second or third time he used them and he had to send them back to be completely restitched, so there may indeed be QC problems. (I've got Kayland Spiders, an approach shoe, and I'm really happy with the quality.)

I have the Nepals and my wife has a pair of M10 kaylands. They are both great. The Nepals fit narrow, which is great for me but not for all.

AS far as I have seen Kayland makes a top notch product as does Sportiva. Yes Kayland had a bad run a few years ago with the Zeus and another boot can't remember which one. I have climbed in both and perfer the Revoultion or M10 to the Sporiva. I realy like the adjustable touge in the revoultion as well as the "heel lock" thing they have going on. I also like how the ankle pocket is molded better, leather lining. Also they have a better articulated (sp?) ankle. At the flex points of the "cuff" and the lower boot, they have removed material to make flexing the uppers easier. If you can caugh up the coin I'd buy the Kaylands either the Revoultions or the M10s [ This Message was edited by: coconutz on 2002-12-09 19:35 ]
