The header says it all. There was some chatter on this for a couple weeks, but the deed was the talk of the Euro trade show this morning-- Wild Country bought DMM. Glad to see these venerable brands (a whole generation of climbers' first harness was the Wild Country Pat Littlejohn, and the dual stem DMM cams are like little jewels) alive and kicking. While I do fear some trimming of the lines due to product overlap, it's far batter than going without one of these great companies.

I sure hope Wild Country will continue to pursue the single stem cams DMM was about to roll out, along with the many other DMM products known for their quality. argh, spell edit

That release says that a group, including directors of DMM Engineering, purchased WC. That doesn't necessarily mean DMM Eng. owns WC, though it could. DMM climbing is a subsidiary of DMM Enginerring, so it's possible that WC bought them out if they were an independent company, or took them over if they were both subsidiaries. Who knows? I don't, my only sources are that press release (which is from a 3rd party) and some ramblings from Crackers.

So lets see some sources? But that they where working together was indeed widely known, and most of WCs "fancy" carabiners are DMM made anyways, so it kinda makes sense, but i guess i can wait for the official announcement. qwert
