There are probably better places you could go to that time of the year than rainy Squamish.

Second GG, however if you're lucky Squish can be wonderful in April.

There are advantages to going earlier, not being as crowded for example, but there are disadvantages too. You're right, I don't live there, I was hoping someone would talk about the weather that time of year because I don't have first hand knowledge. Someone should talk frankly about the viability of the OPs trip. I also know that that time of year can be quite good for certain areas of the Southwest. I believe the OP is a newer climber and I thought he might benefit researching some other areas too and take those into consideration.

Last April there was some consistent better weather for a few days in a row, but there is always some rain... obviously. Lots of stuff at the base of the grand was dry, but on the other hand, an hours rain will ruin that. You'll still find a fair amount of people at smoke bluffs, since they can dry quickly, and squish is only a hour from Van.

That's between March and October, on top of that you can climb here even in winter, usually every 2 to 3 weeks there is a breake in bad weather, sun comes out and of we go climbing, usually Smoke Bluffs. It's totally doable if you live 45 minutes away and your partner is in Squamish telling you: "Hey get your ass over here it stopped raining" V P.S. Early spring weather is better here than in Washington, from what I noticed in last 2 years, maybe Oregon can beat that. HTH
