It's so every time the call "take" you can pull in the slack real fast and whack 'em in the face with that thing. Then they learn to just go lead climb instead.

Its a clear plastic sleeve designed to protect the business of the self belay cable apparatus. This was a mod added to the fixtures after that incident where the autobelay cable broke due to poor maintenance and the area that broke was covered up by opaque sleeve. Insurance company mandated these mods, very sensible as now cable is visually inspected weekly DMT

Bruce Lee Vs. The Kiss Army, 5.13b R/X. This one I did... Cobra Crack, 5.14b. It was wet, I didnt even send it to the crux. I fell out of the wet jams below the lip....

That cobra crack photo has so much potential. Great shot of it. You really get a feel for the size of it. Who lead it when it was wet? That must have been at least a praiseworthy feat by itself or does it have a walk off?

Oh! Okay. Good thinking. I've done that before to preset draws. I hate getting pumped out just to hang draws. If I can cheat to hang them then cheat it is.

You need the URL of the picture...not the URL to the page the picture is on. To get the picture URL, right click on the pic and then select "properties" (if your on a PC). At the bottom you'll find the URL. If your on a Mac, right click on the picture and then select "copy image location". Top roping a 3.8A climb

Bruce Lee vs. Kiss looks like a jib fest and then a dicey slab. I see no visible features on that face you are on and if you go over that ledge then it looks like a dicey as hell boulder problem for the next 10 feet or that crack that diagonals it has more to it than it looks. From the photo it looks like a seam. I think I'd be crying to my mama on that.

Is that a steel cable or a rope? Farking nuts if it's a steel cable. Our auto belays use a rope. Of course the gym owner peed his pants and now has both auto belays on the easy route which totally sucks. You have to clip both of them just in case one blows hopefully the other catches you. Whatever happened to "Climbing is Dangerous" and that waiver I signed I thought it meant a bit more. Give me my other autobelay back on the overhung route you pansy-assed insurance pussies. I mean really there are draws hung all the down. I usually keep my jedi mind tricks on the razor sharp so that with a single thought I can levitate over and just clip a draw to my harness or hell... I'm so stoopid I'd clip my chalk bag and let the little lace saw me in half as it weighted. ... ... WTF am I rambling about? Oh yeah. So uh steel or climbing rope? ... ... No more pain killers there's something wrong in my bird's nest...

Balancy! then you boulder onto the arete on bad slopers until you get a right hand edge over on the slab then cut your feet, heelhook and mantle on single crystal crimps. Its like a upper end V7 boulder problem and super radical moves! im getting psyched up for the lead soon, the only pro is in the break way below your feet. It still hasnt been repeated on lead.
