I am going to be working in the Norfolk area this spring and summer, I was wondering what kind of bouldering is within a several hour drive of that area (if any). Thanks for any help :)

Dude, Norfolk is a pit of climbing despair. There's a little bit of stuff in Richmond, a little more in Charlottesville/Waynesboro. Your closest good bouldering is the Rawley Springs/Harrisonburg area, almost four hours away. McAfee's (near Roanoke) and Moore's Wall (NC) are both about five hours, Boone and the New River Gorge are about 6.

I grew up in Norfolk. There is no climbing in the vicinity. This is why I now live in Colorado. It is worth mentioning that there are places to climb near Norfolk that are perfect for the weekend trip (think NRG, Seneca, Boone Area etc.) But most importantly you are SOL for the after work outdoor fix. P.S Have fun at the Virginia Beach Rock Gym.
