What a typical n00b response. On-line, there are very few ways to determine if you know what you're talking about. Like it or not, spelling and grammar count - a lot.

you know RC is full of instructors and most military rope instructors do take their trainings from mountaineers and most mountaineers have a tendency not to advertise an specific model rope or gear when they want to talk about a knot .

your feedback is well noted, by no means am I questing the experts on RC or the trainers in the field, but I have seen some of the mountaineers training out there and frankly some of it will get you killed. Is it wrong to give people a direction to go when they are looking for gear? As you verywell know that there are a lot of good and bad companies out there selling gear that may or may not be an appropriate choice for the task that you are doing that day. Are you to say that you have not told someone to go out and get a certian piece of gear or directed them to a location that may sell gear? I share what works for me. Don't you?
