I was wondering about the fit of a new crampon I got. I recently purchased the Petzal Vasak. When I put them on my boot, La Sportiva Trango S Evo, there seemed to be some space between the crampon and the bottom of the toe/ball of the foot area of the boot. I was wondering if it might be necessary to look into a better fitting crampon or if this was not even something to be concerned about. It also looked as if it was off to the inside of the boot. I wasn't sure if this was an incorrect fit or if it was supposed to be more over the ball of the foot. and suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

hey, man. I have the same boots as you, and had the same problem when I was buying crampons. The boot is only a 3/4 shank, I believe, so you are best off using a semi-rigid crampon instead of a fully rigid crampon. I ended up with the Grivel Air Tech New-Matic crampon, I climbed steep ice and mixed with this lightweight setup all winter, no complaints.
