travelling to CO ( boulder, Ft Collins,RMNP,Gunnison
andOuray, later Durango) in late june /early july from northeast. Have two kids who can do 5.4-5.6/7 any suggestions for one or two pitch , places where we can spend 1/2 day climbng.

Boulder Canyon has the East Slab on the Dome, then Maybe in Eldo maybe some stuff on the Whales Tail, just belay them for the descent.

the pin route is an exellent 5.4 or 5.5 on the backside of the twin owls. maybe four pitches but short and easy. in lumpy ridge at RMNP. exellent pro and outstanding decent through the bowels of the owls. if your up for that. and exposed and very beautiful area to be in!

thanks for the info , took a look, Pin seemed like just the thing, but looks like area is closed for Perigrine nesting until late July, we'll be gone by 07/20, any other suggestions along the same grade .

Eldorado Canyon:
+1 Whales Tail with West Crack, West Dihedral and East Slabs
The adjacent crag is Wind Tower with Breezy and Tigger
Come on a week day to avoid the crowds and start early to beat the heat.
