I just want to hand it to all those rc.com members who have been submitting some very high-quality pics lately. I've only been around since June or so, and in that short time, I have seen the quality of submitted photography skyrocket. It's great!
I don't know what you're all doing, but keep up the good work!!

What do you all think? is there an upward trend? What do you think could be causing it?

DEFINITELY an upward trend.

Not to say the old pics are bad, cause they truly are really great, but when you compare some of the pics that have been submitted quite recently to the "top" shots of even two months ago, there is a dramatic difference.

I think coclimber's appearence has helped with this somewhat, as his pics seem to gain top honors quite often (and with good reason!). But theres other great photog's that hadnt posted much before, but just recently submitted some GREAT shots!

The quality of the climbing pics is breathtaking. I would agree that there is a definite upward trend. I`m thinking that as the site in general has attracted a huge following that statistically there will be some among us who can take amazing pics.

The superior nature of the photos spurs me on to take better pics myself. I can no way claim to take such fantastic pics as displayed on the front page but it gives me ideas to help me hone my totally inadequate skills.

I`ve always said that to take really good pics one must take lotsa bad ones.

I'm amazed too! It seems to me that many of the photos here are now getting better than those in the climbing mags. I wonder how long it will take before R&I and Climbing come to RC.com for their next covers.
