Correct! It is a shame that this amazing facility is being bulldozed if my friend can not sell it.
Someone could just use the top 25%, top 50%, or whatever to fit their space. The walls and other caves not pictures are gorgous.
Apparently ... I have been to the 'best' climbing place in Seattle, and it's maybe half of this single facility.
President Obama's new-home owner rebate is causing so many homes to be built, that tons of good usable structures are being smashed. Wierd phenomenon ... that to stimulate our economy we end up trashing perfectly usable buildings, but then the economy flows -> wood is sold, trucked, carpenters/plumbers/electricians have work, etc.
It is as if we smash good usable stuff, just to keep ourselves occupied.
Now that sounds like chasing one's own tail?

Whole delivery?
My friend CAN do that, there is a huge hole with skylights that will allow it to be lifted out the top of the roof and laid on a semi-tractor trailer. They designed this whole facility very smartly ... this stuff is made to be disassembled, moved, reassembled.
Climbing around on the back (i.e., inside) of the climbing structures shows me the best craftsmanship I've seen. This thing was designed, made, shipped, and assembled smartly.
I'll be pissed if this thing doesn't find a new home better than the landfill!

Why not donate it to the army or something instead of just bulldozing. Could be a nice tax write off.

Actually we won't take it through the skylights although that would be so so Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I imagine that once the framing down out of the way we will take the thing out through the front wall in 25' sections as it was built. There is quite a bit of demo work to do first to get to that point but if I continue to kick ass and show the Excavator that there is another way then to just knock smash and dump in the landfill then I will be granted more time to possibley move some climbing wall. I hope.

Huge climbing walls and pillar for sale. Structure professionally engineered / built. I believe it is 50' tall. THere are many routes and tons of T nuts so setting a route could be a easy affair. In additon there are another 100' feet of 40' climbing wall some with overhangs and cracks. THere is a ton of materials here for someone interested in climbing.
