I am missing something... If the "friend" left your husband "waiting" while he was climbing something else, what stopped your husband from leading that climb that you wanted to TR, so you could then follow?
What sort of responce are you hoping for to your post?
O.K. ... you discovered that the friend isn't really a friend and would rather climb with other people than hang ropes for you. It happens. The end.
