I am looking for some Petzl Elios helmets. I am trying to stock up for an upstart high school climbing club. Please let me know what you've got and how much you want for them.

Agghhhh!! I was banking on the trust factor. I wouldn't sell someone crap, I guess I was hoping for the same... Has anyone seen any place to buy them new for under $50? These things are going to add up quickly.

That's not bad. I don't know about buying from Canada though. I'll send the folks an e-mail and ask. Thanks. EDIT: They aren't from Canada. They did tell me they are out of stock. How strange is it to be out of stock on something you are actively advertising??

Steep and Cheap frequently had Camp Rock Stars real cheap. If you contact Backcountry.com, I'd bet they'd make you a deal. -hch

Our Rock&Ice club has Edelrid Ultralights for the same purpose - those are basic, but VERY durable hardshell helmets. I wouldn't want to mess with used gear just because of the potential liability issues. Edelrids are cheaper than anything else too - CAD49 at MEC: http://www.mec.ca/..._id=2534374302691055 Be safe.

NICE! Thank you for the link and the info. I'll check ebay and do an online search. Most appreciated. I don't know anything about these helmets. Any downsides???

Not super comfortable would be the only downside I can think of. Durable as heck and fits almost any head shape well. You can't go wrong with hardshell helmets for a rental/school program.

I find the Camp Rock Star I picked up is as comfortable as my Elios. Disadvantages to the Rock Star vs the Elios: -You can't adjust it as quickly as the Elios. This may be important to you for group use. -Mine didn't come with head lamp clips, I think although some versions of it do.
