I thought this should be linked in here, considering the posts I've seen on the subject in the past:

Dawson is known much more for climbing than skiing, but I believe he used to be a decent climber in his own right.

Regardless, he knows more about AT gear and backcountry skiing than almost anybody on the planet.

Am certain you meant Dawson is better know for SKIING than climbing.

But he has certainly done his fair share of serious climbing too.

Excellent article. Dawson is a very good writer.

Thanks for posting that. I'm a southern boy who is about to buy an AT setup for my increasingly frequent forays into the alpine, so I'm gobbling up all the articles I can find.
