Can't Post

How long have you been on the Internet?

Short answer is, you don't. Unless it's spam, overtly illegal, or otherwise against the terms of service, there is no removal of comments here.

Thats fucking stupid... You mean someone has to put up with stupid shit on here just because the site fails to put in a delete option on a comment. Very fucking lame...

I looked at your photos and don't see any comments that remotely warrant getting pissed off about, but I guess that is your perception. For photo posters to have the ability to eliminate negative or flippant comments and keep the positive ones would be ridiculous.

You can either ignore the comment, or delete the entire photo and then re-submit it, but now that you have called attention to it there will be nothing to prevent the same or similar comments to appear on the re-submit. Plus, you will just make unneccesary work for the photo editors.

Alternatively, you can always delete the entire photo altogether and keep it off. These appear to be your only solutions. I'd vote for ignoring the comment.

As for thinking its silly to delete comments thats just moronic! Use your fucking head. What if you had some picture of you and your wife and kid or something nice posted and someone wrote a totally messed up comment. You should be able to delete it and you should be able to have your profile and pictures private to share with only who you wish. I, nor the world needs everyones opinions or comments on MY PROFILE! Simple question and now I see even the moderators are fucking idiots...

Pot... meet kettle.

And I'd wager that your profile is mostly lies anyway, so I fail to see the issue of a few off color comments...

You didn't say any of this in your initial thread. I took available information and offer you the list of options, and you start name calling?

Take it easy mang.

Upload to a different site if you don't want to have to deal with comments. It really is that simple. If anything, there could maybe be a private option created(such that it can only be viewed if you have the URL and doesn't show up in results). YouTube has one such option.

Also, nobody that has posted in this thread has been in the Navy (to my knowledge). You misinterpretted the signature mentioning the Navy. You're welcome to apologize to carabiner96 though.

What are you 18? You'd think after two years of lurking you'd have a basic understanding of how this site works. As in....

Wait for it...

It's a public forum.

This here place isn't Myspace. It is not Facebook. It's not Twitter. It's rockclimbing.com.

Look around.

This isn't social networking. It's a public forum for people to chat, intermingle, and discuss climbing things and stuff.

Rule somethingsomething of the internet: If you don't want people to comment about any 'content,' media, or other unique data you present to the internet refrain from posting, displaying, publishing, or otherwise participating in the internet.

People are mean, and you're likely to encounter more of them in internet land.

Sorry I cant help otherwise. I just take the trash out around here.

No, I was in the girl scouts, I was just too overwhelmed by his ineptitude to come up with an appropriate response that his gray matter could process.
