Trying to figure out if there is any climbing in, or around Yuma, Arizona? I am from Tucson and have been climbing routes located on Mount Lemmon for about 4 years now. I will be re-locating to Yuma, and am not sure if I can survive without climbing! Thanks

J Tree is the first place that comes to mind... but there has to be granite around that part of the country.

Yeah I have heard of some places, lime castle dome, high tanks (tijanas altas) Palm Canyon, and the foothills... But have no idea where the routes are located or whether they are sport or trad... pretty frustrating.

I'm new to Yuma as well. I just moved here for work. It seems like the mountains east of the Foothills on I-8 have some good climbing. Also the mountains to the right of 95 near Yuma Proving Grounds. Castle Dome seems like it would be sick. I also saw some good areas north of Castle Dome near Cibola. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up and climb. My email is niket27@gmail.com
