I was in a local shop and came accross this nice wood training/hang/pullup board made by Metolius.

Thought it would make a good project...and I happen to have a couple of nice aged cedar chunks I've been trying to use up. I had to buy a couple router bits that I didn't have in order to make the finger holds...but its still half the price of a new one.
The one in the middle I bought to use as a templet...then I returned it, yea-I felt bad.
Finished product...not stained. My buddy got the other. The wood feels good on the hands. Pleanty of holds to choose from including a couple on the top and back that aren't pictured.
Very happy with how it came out...now comes the bigger project...working on those tiny holds.

Thanks! After using it for a few days now...I think I'll be adding a couple holds in the near future. I wouldn't mind a coupe holds diagonally in the top corners...

Hi! ..I have been thinking of doing the same thing, and was searching for pics and I came across your post.
I don't have the means of buying the hangboard and returning it (I live outside the U.S and it is complicated enough to buy something and shipping it to Venezuela), I was wondering if you could help me with dimensions of the pockets, specially the depths. Is it possible for you to give me an approximate of the dimensions you used?
