Umm, not to be too prickly (wreck-dot is in fact awesome) but perhaps you haven't been using the code Eric wrote (under Search->Forums on the left nav bar) to search the forums on rc.com.
It's quite searchable, I assure you.
(this coming from a thread Ed... !)
Google is awesome, several of my friends work there and I am constantly amazed at the stuff their programmers think up. But Rc.com isn't exactly trapped in the stone age either.

Tim,
I hadn't noticed the new search form either. Because I was never informed that the functionality had been replaced, I assumed that it was still the google thing.
Is there any way to list updates, etc to the site? Or, is there already one out there that I'm consistently overlooking? (embarrassed smilie)
BTW, props to whoever updated the photo section .. lookin' good, guys!

Maybe I should be posting stuff in the forums. I'll try and document this stuff, or maybe I'll get lazy and merge it into the FAQ so that peoples' posts automatically hyperlink to such an item. I was filled with glee when someone posted a 'best shoe' thread and the thing just LIT UP with links to the search engine
