....and # of ratings, price and ohhh! how about maybe ratings?! ;) you know so we can see what the "best piece of gear" in a category is.. It would make this section soooo much more usable

I'll see if I can make this happen one evening... will need some coding time for it. DDT

This one is a couple years old, I know but it is one of the first things noted as missing when the site was bought and converted and is still a serious limitation across the Gossamer platform among all the NameMedia family of sites. As such I'd strongly suggest the reconsideration of this feature. I think the column sort functionality would bring the site up closer to on par with many other sites these days and make not just the Gear Guide more usable (the point was to find the "best" gear via sorting by rating) but every area that uses a grid on the site: classifieds, route sections, climbing hit logs, etc. As I mentioned it is among the most minimal of functionalities for any table of data on the internet and is a relatively simple one to code. I was a developer with Trevor and Tim on the old site - I know things are different now but would be more than happy to have a crack at adding this if resources are limited because I feel it is a valuable feature. Thanks for your re-consideration. -Dan

I have to agree, the gear page really needs sorting ability.
