Last night while walking around the local gym I notice a sticker with square digital bar code next to V whatever bouldering route so I asked the dude behind the counter about the bar code and he says leeee mee show you he brings his iphone, takes a snap photo/scan of the bar code and then this youtube vids comes up and shows how to climb the route WTF

That is such a cool idea! That would be such a great addition to gyms and eventually guide books. However, it would take a lot of work to generate the content.

I suppose its a good idea, that is if everyone had a $700 smart/I-phone. But the reality of it is that climbers are cheap, & can't afford high end electronic crap. This is only good for kids with rich parents. If they wanted to make it usable for everyone they'd have to mount a flat panel tv screen in the wall.
