Going to Colorado for the first time in early June to hike fourteeners... Any good advice?

I don't know for sure, but I think early June will be too early to be able to "hike" many of them this year. There is still a lot of snow in the high country, especially in the northern mountains which has record snow pack this year ("... The record snowpack levels are almost too deep to measure in some parts of northern Colorado.") Trail Ridge road is at 12000' and they haven't even been able to open the road yet due to >20' of snow... and it is still accumulating.

I understand that the southern ranges have somewhat below average snow pack this year. So you should look at those.

If you climb a CO 14er in early June you WILL experience ice and snow pack. Late July and August are your best bets for ice free hiking.

...and this probably goes without saying but be sure to give yourself plenty of time to acclimate to the altitude before attempting your hike.
