Hi everybody! I'm new in Madrid and I want to find some beautifull places to climb bouldering. Unfortunately I don't have a car, so I'm going to use bus or train. Can you helop me to find out the best place and tell how to get there. If someone would like to go with me - it will be perfect! =)

Summer is not the best time to climb in La Pedriza o El Escorial (Silla de Felipe II). It might be too hot unless you go very early in the morning. In both places there is a lot of bouldering, but La Pedriza is certainly much better known for its superb granite sport and trad climbs (more than 1500 different routes). I think there is a train to El Escorial from Nuevos Ministerios or Atocha. You can get to La Pedriza by bus (line 724), departing from Plaza de Castilla (close to the Kio Towers) directly to Manzanares el Real. Peņalara is much higher (~2000m) and fresher during the summer, but it's much smaller and I'm not sure if there is some bouldering around there. You can get there by train or bus: http://www.parquenaturalpenalara.org/...ral/como-llegar.html finally, you'll find very few Madrilians checking out rockclimbing.com. You might be luckier at: http://www.sistemacentral.net/foro/viewforum.php?f=5
