Actually, I think the author did a pretty good job explaining climbing to non climbers. Much better than the impression people get from "cliffhanger". I think I agree with Bob B that he's the best rock climber Canada ever produced but I think in his prime Peter Croft did some pretty fair cutting edge adventure climbing too and is still climbing pretty cool stuff in his 50s(close second?) Sean Mccoll maybe in the future...
