Hello to all you rock starved western new yorkers. For those of you who are interested, I have discovered a nice stone bridge on the outskirts of Avon, NY that is decent for bouldering. It's 15 to 20 feet tall, and besides the crumbling mortar the stone is good. There is a dirt parking lot (as it happens to be a small historic landmark, or something of the sort) as you go into the town of avon heading north on route 39. Cross the river, and the side of the bridge away from the road is the best part (and least visible, and since I have no idea about the legality of this spot, it may be best to be subtle). Come check it out, message me if you want. It's certainly nothing spectacular, but is certainly something to look at if you're in the area often and need something to train on.
