I got some Camp quickdraws. One biner is wiregate, and the other is "safelock" which has a little blue plastic thing you gotta push down to open it. What are the pros and cons of this config? Is the wiregate biner is for the bolt and the safelock for the rope??

This setup sounds like it would be too complicated for me. Imagine you are hanging by one small crimp on a roof and have to clip, are you really going to be able to push the little blue thing down?

The wiregate side should be used to clip the rope.

I've never heard of this product, but the locker is most likely Camp's way of solving worries that the bolt 'biner might unclip itself.

The blue lock thing is pretty easy to open with index finger, as you are clipping. You could probably learn to get used to it. Here's a pic:

So why is the wire gate better for the rope end? What is it good for?

By the looks of the picture, it seems both sides are wiregate. I think that the straight wiregatge is for the hanger, and the curved "safety" end is for the rope. There is a greater fear/possibility of the rope-side 'biner opening than the hanger side. However you look at it, it's kind of messed up. They might sell wire gates on both ends just to make it really light. Good Luck.

Yea, if I were you, I'd make sure to clip the wire-gate to the rope for ease.
