I don't get out to Sandrock often but thought I would post pictures of the progress out there. The locals were already complaining about 'the man' closing off the 4-wheeler trails (amidst complaints about Mexican's and 'that' president) The entrance kiosk is about 1/4 mile before the paved cul de sac, with green posts lining the south side of the original road (closing off campsites but offering an egregious amount of parking). There is also a new dirt road diverging to the north of the original road and extends along the ridge beyond the rock climbing proper. Not exactly sure how serious they are about not passing this point... They have cleared several acres out in between the two roads near the end of the paved road with lots of building supplies handy. Climbers are still parking in the cul de sac but there are posts preventing parking off the pavement Campsites along the old fire-road to the north of the rocks proper are still accessible by car but this will probably not last long. Again one has to drive by another "do not advance beyond this point" sign.
