I picked up some of the 6mm PMI accessory cord sold off the spool at REI. Oddly enough, it so so stiff that a prussik will not engage even on 11mm rope. It feels almost like pit rope. The sheath also appears to be significantly lower quality than Sterling's comparable offering. The posted specs show a strength of 6.8KN vs 8.8 for Sterling 6mm. The marketing material claims it's for use as a prussik or haul line..... Am I missing something?

I definitely will return it. I'm just not going to drive 20 minutes to return five dollars of accessory cord. I'll think of something else I 'need'.

The red/black is the PMI. I was able to get it to work with a friction knot last night but it takes two extra wraps and is not confidence inspiring. Definitely returning this.

Lol, well I mean't tieing myself to a branch 30 feet up, and tying in so I can jump up and down on the rope in an attempt to stretch it...not actually fall
