I would also add a hook, like on a gaiter, to help pull the front over your laces. I would expect a refined version could sell for ~$30-50. Hey, Flashdance, most of us would rather lose our feet to frostbite than be seen wearing leg warmers. That's how manly we are.

Oh, but I am! That sounds awesome . . . could the tutu hold its shape outwards and serve as a kind of table that you could put snacks, etc. on while you are belaying?

I actually think that's kind of brilliant, specially if you could fit them inside your shoes.

So is that it, men? You want hand sock, leg warmers. Lower waistline on your underwear? Medal fabrics, gold specifically and a tutu. That's all? That's your only issues?

I'd love to find more climbing pants that fit like my one good pair of MH Runout pants: good gusseted crotch, tough canvas fabric, and they aren't all baggy as hell. My one wish was that they had an articulated knee. The MH Cordoba pants are close but the fabric isn't as good and they're much more baggy in every aspect except at the waist. ... and they have to be available in a 34" inseam!!! (I don't do man-pri's or high-waters.)

I was talking to another climber and he was suggesting a bit tighter pants as well. He said, he kept getting holes from his crampons. I am not sure if you ice climb, but is this an issue for you as well?

I want a pair of water-resistant climbing pants that... a. have a fly, pockets, and that look like regular pants; b. don't have any kind of taper or elastic cuff; c. come in a few colors, including olive; d. don't cost a fortune. I want a pair of pants that I wouldn't have a problem wearing on non-climbing days, and that will hold up to abuse. I don't want denim, since I don't want to feel bogged down by sweat or a little rain. I also don't want to drop $100 per pair.

I would like pants that fit like most prana pants, yet are made from carhaart style canvas in order to last forever. Prana blows, they last like 30 minutes on the approach before they rip, but they fit perfectly. Also, a simple merino wool hoody that is less than 200 bucks. Medium weight.

Weird question: Can I send you fabric samples (it won't be for a few months) and you let me know what you think. I have a few ideas. Anyone else interested?

Can you describe "good"? If you need help: Location of Pockets? Type of fabric? (flexible, wiking, etc.) Addons? (Adjustable cuffs, loops, etc.)

Yes it'd be fine to send me sample or whatever. The main thing is that Prana and some other companies have the perfect cut for pants, yet use flimsy materials.
