Looks like you have a crampon pouch on the back.

What's the liter again?

Looks like a decent pack

That japanese guy is gonna be scarred for life after that prank.

HAHAHA

That is a serious case of "what the fuck is wrong with the Japanese."

Last night in my HAZMAT class the instructor said that recently a 60 year study concluded that the radiation from the bombs dropped during WWII didn't have the adverse affect that was originally thought...this show may be counter evidence to that study.

Yeah. It claims to be thirty liters, but I can put a rope, double, rack, shoes, and harness in it.

It's only 50 (but it comes in a 55 version if you can find it). Based on what you said, not great for winter, but for alpine? Sure, why not?

Did a really nice ARC yesterday for a half hour. I am getting a little fitter and can spend part of the time on the 15 degree wall. I used to spend all of it there, so hopefully I will get back to that and beyond.

Compressor Route got the chop!!

It's been a long time coming but I'm still a little surprised someone had the balls to actually do it. Crazy stuff.

Yerp. I am happy Cerro Torre is kinda back to a more grand state, but it kinda killed any dream I had of sending it. hehehe

True, but my point was that my weekend has lasted about 2.5 weeks with no sign of ending.

Not sure. I was just saying that I really like my pack, that I think it'd be good for alpine, but that, according to your recommendations, it's too small for winter use.

I'm kind of surprised. It always seemed to me to be one of those routes that folks wouldn't chop, but I guess after last year's debacle with the film crew, someone probably felt that it had to be done.

I remember reading an article titled "Chopping Cerro Torre" when I just started gym climbing. I had no idea what it was about.

Ah, gotcha. If I'm going ultra-lite I can certainly do a trip with a 45. But for multi-day winter mountaineering, it would be too small.
