Casting a major credit card commercial and seeking male and female Trad Climbers age mid 20's to 30's.
Must be familiar/comfortable with climbing Fisher Towers in Moab, Utah.
Meeting with Director in LA on 10/20 (Production is planning on arranging the flights for those they select) and shoots in Moab, Utah 10/26 - 10/30 (Travel to Utah 10/26, Shoots 28-29, Travel back 10/30). This is a SAG union job but you do NOT have to be union to work on this. This just means that the pay is going to be regulated by the union and this spot pays VERY well.
If you are interested and fit the description or know someone that would be right for this, please email us at shanecasting@mac.com. We will need a photo that shows your face well, and if possible, some photos/videos of you climbing. Please also include a short bio about your climbing experience.

Videos?

Wow, and I thought people who videoed themselves climbing were posers. Apparently they were making their CVs! New respect for those who can place gear and makeup at the same time.

(Don't know any climbers worth their weight who go about filming themselves)

PS: I think I found your man:

If he can climb into those jeans, I'm sure he can climb anything. I photographed him scoping out the fisher towers just before he free soloed them.

Little late to the perty, bro. The ad has been shot and aired. It came out pretty good, actually.

I think your comment about no good climber being filmed is a little... stupid, really. Really stupid. What makes you think that?

So someone who gets their friends to film them is fine, but if they use a tripod they aren't worth their weight? I am baffled by your logic. What about when people are doing remote big wall solos and shoot film of themselves?

Was this meant to be snippy, by the way? Because that's kinda funny.

Why would you film yourself? I guess I'm not in touch with the modern narcissistic bro (or is that brah. Not quite sure of the proper grammar here).

And no, I'm anything but snippy.

Anyway, back to the rocks...

To get sponsorship, build a video resume, get noticed, when you're solo, advertise a GoPro.... are just a few that immediately come to mind.

So you can see how you climb.

There are tons of reasons you might film yourself. Obviously filming can be a great part of training (seeing how your climbing is going), but I guess that's not really what we are talking about. You might film yourself to remember a cool route, or to show it to your friends, maybe you always wanted to make a cool climbing movie but aren't ready to shoot other people (just want to try angles/editing yourself), to show off, sponsor me stuff, or because you think people will be interested but there is no one around to film it for you.

And THAT is a sentence that I am not even going to try to salvage. Hopefully the point went across though?

Your correct was right, by the way, we have moved on to Brah.
