I climb there a few times a year. But when it comes down to it the Red is well worth the drive.

if you're in carbondale, you should have no problem finding climbers (all levels). i know quite a few SIU students who are often at jax; you can also find a few climbers working at the Co-Op.

you'll also do better finding partners through the ICA (Illinois Climbing Assoc) Facebook page than posting here.

Hit me up. I'm always looking to get out climbing at Jackson Falls or any where else in So IL.

I live in Paducah and it's only an hour drive for me. I've got 7 years experience, 4 years guiding experience, and loads of kit. I just need a belayer!
