Hey. This week I saw a couple of my friends emotionally break down because of their inability to cope with injuries... As a guy who's had his fair share of injuries (the most pervasive and frankly annoying of which have been in some way related to climbing), I understand what that's like. Today I found this vid, probably old, video but I'm posting it here in the hopes that it could help someone, ya know?

IMO the formula for overcoming even despairing injuries consists of good resting habits, good nutrition, being patient while time does its thing, working with a health professional who's truly dedicated to helping you get better, and at least as important as all of the former, not giving up on yourself.

This guy is inspiring, definitely. I just tried some yoga poses, and they still really hurt my stupid shoulder injury. I think more rest is in order.

When I was 20 I had an illness that kept me virtually bed-ridden for over 2 years.

When I had to take a 6 month break from climbing while doing PT for a shoulder injury, it was a walk in the park.

Perspective is everything.
