It has been brought to my attention that when someone posts a route they get points, but when someone comes back by the route and adds some info then the first person that posted the route loses his/her points... Is this true?

I don't think the person that posted the route first should lose points for someone coming by and making a change to it...

This has been discussed before, and the consencous was that it all evens out in the end.

For example...
There have been people who create hundreds of Areas and Section only, but enter no data at all in these. No comments, grade, camping, nothing. That's like buying a book that only has the cover and table of contents in it, but nothing else.

It's not the best system, but it does all even out in the end for the most part.
