hey new mexico ers,
looking for some help here,
can anyone recommend what the best place to sport climb single pitch in new mexico is?
ill be driving through for the hot air balloon festival and looking for some climbing fun
ill be in the albuquerque area, but do not mind driving... ill keep looking on this site but wanted to hear some personal local favorites....
i can climb about 5.10 c 5.11 lead
and my girlfriend is around 5.9 lead

Palomas Peak - seems to fit your description; 1 hour drive; relatively high elevation
Socorro Area - good when weather is cool/unsettled; ~90 minutes south of ABQ on mostly interstate; relatively low elevation
Areas Up By Los Alamos - ~2 hours drive; similar to Palomas in terms of elevation / weather
Use MP.com's "Best Routes For You" link to fine tune the crag of interest
