Anyone know if it is possible for a small shop to completely sole a climbing shoe and rand

, and who would sell the materials for it. I am not talking about resoling just a part. These will be custom, never before soled shoes.

Or alternatively, is there anyone who offers this service.

Yes, most cobblers should be able to do a full sole and rand (assuming the shoes are built properly).

How did you come to have a pair of sole-less shoes? Did you make them?

That is the plan. I have two feet that don't match after one of them got badly mauled in a plane crash. They aren't freakish or anything, I can wear shoes, and you wouldn't notice the difference looking at me, but I guess I am far enough apart that it stretches the limits of what a pair of shoes will do. My feet are also wide.

This isn't a money saving idea or some such, it would be a lot easier to just buy shoes, even two pair, but I think this is a better option. The main thing I did was give up climbing, but amazingly, I keep getting a little better, it has been 15 years, and now the kids want to try climbing also.
