Hi all,

looking for recomendations for a mountaineering backpack for my GF
Specifications:
- 35 L min, preferably more
- for shortish frame (156 cm)
- Ideally more than one comparment and/or secondary access zipper

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Most of the womens packs she tried on (Mammut, Deuter) were too long for her size.

Cheers!

Do you want it to be pink and non-butch looking?

On the contrary... non pink would be appreciated. (but color is not a deciding factor)

I'm currently looking for something similar in 30-40 liter range. On my list are women-specific
Deuter Futura Pro 34 SL and Guide 40 SL
and Gregory Jade and Sage packs
I'm 155cm and in between XSM and SM sizes

I have the Osprey Ariel 55. Osprey must have updated them though, the ones one their site are slightly different than what I have.

http://www.ospreypacks.com/en/product/womens/ariel_55_1_1

I am 5'4", about 120 lbs and it fits me well. It has a detachable fanny pack for day hikes and it fits quite a lot of stuff. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't leave my armpits as sore as other packs have. Good luck!
