The 24th Annual Dixie Rock Climbing Competition is the oldest consecutive indoor climbing competition in the US and will be held on April 19th & 20th at the Chapel Hill Community Center (120 S Estes Dr, Chapel Hill, NC). The competition is a fun-filled event with four different divisions ranging from the beginner to expert, with great prizes awarded to the top three men & women in each division and lots of door prizes for spectators.
There are six qualifying routes for each division, all or part of which can either be climbed on the evening of April 19th or the morning to afternoon of April 20th, with finals being held the evening of April 20th. Contestants that make it to the finals round can pick their own theme song to play while climbing their final route!
Registration is now open, though if you register by April 1st, you are guaranteed a free Dixie Rock 24 t-shirt and swag bag containing a free TRC day pass and lots of valuable coupons to REI and Great Outdoor Provision Company, among other things!
