I was at a CIA demo today, and they let me try a climbing rig they had that they said was commercially available. It consisted of a metal chest piece with two stirrup straps running through it to stirrups on one side, and gibbs ascenders on the other. Does anyone know what this is called and where I can get one?

Sounds like a "rope walker" system. Did it look something like this?

what are you trying to do with this 007 CIA rig ?

I had no idea the Culinary Institute availed themselves of climbing gear.

That's really more of a caving setup than a "climbing rig". Not that it could not be used in climbing, but I've only seen it done once in 20+ years.
