Right now it is looking like 7/night per person, 6 if yore an access fund member, 5 if yore an AAC member. No word on monthly rates yet, or if you'll get further discount by being both AF and AAC. I am, however, strongly pushing for a Miguel's style sleeping bag-confiscation program for poachers. That would be awesome. I didn't know Miguel confiscated poacher's sleeping bags! Anyway, how are you going to check the AF/AAC membership? Is it an honor's system? Do people have to show their membership cards? Or do you actually have access to a database of members? (just want to make sure I have my AF discount, for when Chris starts banning people from his backyard) sleeping bag removal has been miguel's policy for a while now. If the tent/bag/pad isn't tagged, sleeping bags will be removed during the day and you have to go pay to get them back. not really doable with cars but MOST people aren't dicks. They need a bunch of parking enforcement boots. As much as I hate the parking nazis, it is always funny to see a car with a boot.

Just sent my mother a rather long and nasty email telling her that I don't think we should really talk any more. This was after inviting my sister, dad, and stepmom to my graduation, and not her. This might get messy.

I think my mom may be tied with dribble's dad for religious nutjobbery. And tied with yore dad for recalcitrance and ignorance.

The fact that she is a female minister means that by definition she cannot be tied with dribbles dad for nutjorbery. Female preachers are abdominations!!!

Inanery update: Raining. Sitting under mah tarp reading a history of American secularism, with a chapter on how female preachers were abominations. Was going to take a rest day and then someone came by looking for a belay, so I went and tr'd some wet stuff. Almost fell on a climb I soloed last year; it was sketch. Also went into the local music store earlier today, because my mandolin busted a nut. Was noodling around on their gneiss mandolins, and a local yokel guitarist came in, we jammed for like a half hour. I felt very Appalachian. Going to try to actually take a rest day tomorrow; haven't had one for a week.

Yeah, you have to get out of your psyched weekend warrior climbing style, and get into the jaded local who climbs two routes a day every other day (maybe) mentality.

That looks really good. Ive been meaning to get a book on the history of NYC; there's a huge all encompassing one called "Gotham," but this one looks a bit more manageable.
