Yeah, you have to get out of your psyched weekend warrior climbing style, and get into the jaded local who climbs two routes a day every other day (maybe) mentality. Heh, and the fact that summer is imminent will make staying psyched even harder. I'm hoping that a regular infusion of weekender partners will help. Though, if you tell J teh Boi that I'm down here, it's over!

I'll tell Banz to pass your contact info along, next time he sees J-teh-boi at the gym. That way, I had nothing to do with it! Btw, Ed might have a month off in ~ July bc he is changing jobs, so he would be taking all unused vacation time. He was thinking going out west, but if he doesn't find partners for that, I told him that you are at the New.

I think my mom may be tied with dribble's dad for religious nutjobbery. And tied with yore dad for recalcitrance and ignorance. The fact that she is a female minister means that by definition she cannot be tied with dribbles dad for nutjorbery. Female preachers are abdominations!!! nutjorb abomination...

Weekend repot. Saturday I went for a 12km run with minimal IT band discomfort. After Nathan got home from work we needed to start cleaning the house for my mother's visit next week. At first Nathan yelled at my for throwing away too much stuff (like cell phone bill statements from 5 years ago). Then he got drunk and got far better at tossing stuff. Yesterday we got out climbing. I re-redpointed the hardest route I've ever done, didn't even have to skip clips on it this time. I then trashed myself on a route that's two grades easier, but way more endurence based. Best part were the two non climbers that somehow got down the gully when Nathan was climbing. The running commentary from the girl was awesome. First she asked if Nathan needed some water "he doesn't sound right, he sounds thirsty" (as Nathan is trying hard on a route). Then as he was lowering and cleaning the draws she asks "Does that harness squish your dingle? Because your dingle looks squished." I was laughing too hard to ask her why she was looking at my husband's dingle. Nathan fielded the question like a champ.

I am so totally asking my partners on the next trip if their dingle feels squished! Nice jorb re-redpointing your old project! And yeah, tossing stuff is hard. Drinking helps!

Weak-end report. No climbing involved, whatsoever. Saturday was ju-jitsu/massage/Alisa's friend's birthday party/lunch date with a friend. Then digging, weeding, planting, weeding, digging, weeding, and some more weeding. Heffe spent the day at Tim;s barn, doing their weird cross-fit thing, interspersed with fingerboard. In the hilariously awkward or awkwardly hilarious department, I was asked out on a date by my neighbor. It was prefaced by "you probably don't get to go anywhere, being a single mom and all..." I had a hard time not laughing in his face. Heffe said I should have said yes, but I had no idea when he was getting home to make dinner, and anyway, the guy is not my type. I kind of draw the line sometime before the point when the guy's beer belly alone outweighs me. Sunday was digging, weeding, digging, weeding, raking, weeding and more weeding. I need to throw in some mulching into that mix. My poor back!

Does anyone else get caught off guard when they find a photo they posted on one site suddenly appear on another site? Found this today: http://toprope.me/...e1-ba63-296b900fd845 Thoughts that go through my head: 1) Hey, that's my photo 2) Why are they using a photo from crag XYZ for crag UVW? 3) Why are they using a photo of a mixed route for a sport climbing area? 4) Why would they take the route information from RC.com, that's a terrible source.
