I will be in Zion from June 23-27, possibly a bit longer, and would like to get out on something, anything. I have rack, rope, and requisite experience for damn near anything, but am not traveling with aid gear. Hit me up on this thread or via PM if you can meet up for a day. Cheers, Loran

I suppose there may be some mad dogs (or Englishmen) out there, but it is going to be 96F-102F this week. Perhaps routes on the Tunnel Wall will be cool enough in the morning. Be careful - Zion in summer can be a lot more brutal than expected.

Thanks Marc; point taken. I haven't climbed in three weeks since the New River Gorge and I am itching to get out, even for a few pitches by headlamp if necessary. My daughter and I had plans to climb on Fathers Day outside Santa Fe, but three miles from the crag we were turned around because they had closed the entire National Forest due to the potential for fire. I would just like to get vertical before we hit California in another 2-3 weeks.
