Though its awesome for climbing and hiking, no worries about getting stuck in the dark

Finished another painting. Now just one painting away from finishing what I need for the exhibition. I'm happy.

Also happy to report that I discovered a new technique that I hope will work out quite well. the first experiment turned out OK. Not great, but OK. What's nice is that I think I discovered some things to help.

If this works, I hope this can turn into a small cash cow in the short term.

One thing to know about this is that I haven't figured out the background yet, so the photo was taken with just this background.

I have two other paintings that need to get going here pretty quick. I've started them, but I haven't finished as a result of putting together this exhibit. These paintings are not related to the exhibit.

Once those are finished, I'm going to turn toward using oil pastel and glass and do some landscapes of a few streets here in Curitiba with the hopes that a gallery will buy it and / or let me exhibit it.

How did you convince he who shall not be named to sit for a portrait?

Two days in Sedona has turned into four; this place is amazing! Maybe my favorite stop so far. We had to move our campsite today, which was a PITA but now Oak Creek is directly behind the RV. Muy bueno.

Not sure where we are headed next on the 5th; probably booking it into Cali and busting up towards Sequoia or Kings Canyon ASAP??? Not sure, not sure.

the artist is a very persuasive man.

for this one I just used a photo. actually, using photos is a pretty good way to not have to pay a model to sit. although the person in this painting is still demanding money, of which I don't have, which is funny because he's demanding cash for the same reason.

Leaving Sedona this morning, heading for an overnight in Needles, CA and then on to Sequoia & Kings Canyon.

Let the Cali part of the adventure begin.

Frig.

Another change of plans. Tomorrow we drop down 3 hours south to spend a few days at a college friends of Karol in Malibu Canyon. I am not happy about leaving the mountains for a freaking city. No, not one bit.
