I just moved into a house with a fairly large section of unfinished attic and got permission from the landlord to build a climbing wall up there. I was thinking/hoping that I can just attach the plywood right to the joists (the long beams?). Is this sufficient? Would this damage the structural integrity of the whole roof? Here are some photos, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
The link is to a picture of the attic in case my description is unclear. I am working on calculating the angle of the roof and its other dimensions still.

Data update:
The climbing wall would be 9ft tall, with that top of the wall 7ft above the ground, the angle between the wall and the floor is 51 degrees. The area is a bout 13ft wide. Also, the joists are 2x6s.

I don't think that should be a problem at all. I have a similar situation but the boards behind the plywood were just 2x4s. Once the sheeting is on it gets very rigid and nothing moves. There are some resources here that will help: http://www.homerockclimbingwalls.com
