could use a camping climbing trip to RR or JT. Clear my head of this appling stuff. But I guess most of RR and all of JT are closed.

Getting ready to head north in a week. looking forward to it. pissed that the park is closed right now. was hoping to show the lady the park in peak foliage season. i might have to crack some skulls to get it open.

Seriously???? There are plenty of ways into the good spots. And if you are so hell-bent on getting her to a picturesque location why not the beaches near Cutler or take a nice drive up the 1 to Quoddy Head / Eastport area. Regardless, the foliage is going to be awesome.

Trip into the wilds this weekend. Edited 279 photos to 72. Working on processing now and should have them up NLT tomorrow.

There are tons of areas *not* National Park that are open. I think most people associate National Park with just about every other federally managed public land. I was gambling on that this weekend and it paid off big time. We had a hot spring to ourselves!

Trip into the wilds this weekend. Edited 279 photos to 72. Working on processing now and should have them up NLT tomorrow.

There are tons of areas *not* National Park that are open. I think most people associate National Park with just about every other federally managed public land. I was gambling on that this weekend and it paid off big time. We had a hot spring to ourselves!

Got my free govment money. Woot free groceries! Oh wait, its insurance, I've paid into that for the las 24 26 years.

just got back from a quick trip to the US. visited family in Maine for two days and went to CO for a few days for a wedding in Estes Park. Was a good wedding and the dude has a seriously awesome family. mega kudos to them.

now tired and trying get ready for the next portuguese semester and possible work opportunities here, too. anyone know any work-from-home opps out there?

How was getting into Estes Park? We are heading to CO next weekend. I heard a couple of teh roads up to Estes are still closed but one is open.. could be old info though

Apparently there is only one road open into Estes Park (through Boulder). We got there just fine. I'd check with your accommodations, though. Some hotels are in a no-flush zone still. The wedding had to be completely rearranged as a result of this. But the park is open. Not everything is open for driving, but we went in a few times with no problems.
