I prefer the no snow, rock climbing weather, may have to find an ice pardner, pardner. ice, not for me. i almost froze my fingers off being a belay slave for a rockclimbing partner. just get out the snowshoes or skis Epic drive home. The road up the mountains to our place was closed for an accident, and the round-about back way is still closed from the floods. The only other way up is "Winding Trail Road" which is a steep, curvy one Lane road through a gated community posted No Tresspassing. Karol drove it once in the daylight and dry conditions when our road was closed, and vowed to not do it again because of the hairpin turns, steep drop offs, and lack of guardrails. I had to do it. Fortunately I had the new sneakers on the Tundra, slipped it into 4WD, and crept up the 10 miles through 4" of untracked powpow. It was dark and the headlights wouldn't show past the falling flakes, so I have no idea how stupid this might have been, but I got home to a big batch of homemade chili. Prospects are not good for getting down tomorrow, there are severe weather advisories for heavy snow and high winds through Wednesday night. At least I brought home some much needed dog food. That is awl. ugh winter mtn. driving is the worst. i'm thankful that the ski hill i work at is 10 minutes from my house and the worst street is the one i live on. i just park at the bottom and walk up to the house. we were pretty gripped driving back to wash. last weekend. no ploughs had been out. lots of car surfing just south of the border

The Lady is already hoping we can dance sevillanas at our wedding. not sure where I'm going to find time, but I feel this is a good winner. sevillanas isn't exactly flamenco, but it can be as even though it's supposedly older than flamenco sevillanas was greatly influenced by flamenco about 200 years ago. I'm kind of sort of looking forward to it. here's a reasonable video of it (better as a group starting at the 1min mark): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC3GGwvtH2I however, it's a group dance, but this one is damn cool (lady dancing alone with mirrors): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DWlngNFIdYYou have been serious for a while, but you've made a decsion? Definitely going to take the lessons, so yeah. But there are a couple of things in the works that may be fitting quite nicely into the business plan, unexpectedly so, but so regardless. We'll see what happens the next two years.

so here's my rant of the day: i took two prints into a framing store over a month again. i told the female store owner that i needed the prints the beginning of december to take back to canada. a side note, both prints gifts from friends. anyhow, went into the store today to pick up the prints. i had not been contacted by the store, but i assumed they were done. the woman was on the phone and actually went in the back room to FINISH the personal call, without acknowledging me. she got off the phone and i asked her for the prints. she acted like a deer in the headlights and then gave me the "i've been so busy speech including details of her sick mother, time getting away, etc". good christ, it's been over a bloody month. it totally screws me around because i'm not around to pick up the prints and it's a pita for the hubby to try and get them because of his work schedule. she said they would be done next week. hopefully, she will come through and stay open for the prints to be picked up. while she ranted, i think she expected me to say don't worry or it's okay......which i didn't!! should i have said something like that. I usually reserve that for when i mean it. like this am, i was supposed to have a massage, and the masseuse calls me and said he's at the urgent care clinic with his daughter who had strep throat. in that case it was okay, because he called, offered up different appts and it was an emergency. this woman had a lot of time and she didn't call me. serenity now!!

Those are hard to find though it seems... or I don't know where/ how to look... or I live in the wrong state still... My advice, do some research on each company and make a proposal fully admitting that you know it's out of the blue. Tell them what you can do, why it can help them, and why you're focusing on them (and being honest by saying you like what they stand for helps a lot). Send it out to about 50 different companies that are like that (better if they have work from home opportunities) and see what happens. That's what I did and suddenly got a bunch of opportunities. Of course, the man upstairs was probably shaking his head and figuring out how to help this poor sap who keep fucking everything up, so maybe this only works for me.
