Burke emergency officials initially got a 911 call from people on a nearby mountain who saw the man fall, Roland said. There is a thread on MP about these. There are two separate accidents. The first, at Crowders, was a person by himself. First indication is that this was someone who was rope soloing. Not sure if it was TR or lead, but since it's Crowders, I'd bet it was a solo TR. UNfortunately, this accident became a fatality. RIP. There was also a helicopter rescue off of Shortoff on the same day. This person is in the hospital. Hope he heals up.
