may i suggest going with a stainless steel one. they're like $20 each. i have 3 just in case, but then again, i'd never wear my ring climbing. PLUS! if you ever get into a tricky situation where a trap door is closing down on you, triggering death spikes coming down from the cieling and up from the floor, you may be able to stick your hand in the door, and your stainless steel ring may hold the weight, allowing for a safe escape. think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. it's a real life application for the need for a stainless ring.
