Hi Everybody,

I'm french, I plan a trip to Indian creek from 1 to 17 november. I wonder if there is a community of single climber who meet either on site during this period like in the Valley or in Squamish. I intend to come alone and want to meet climbers on site.

do you think it's a good idea ?

thanks for your advice.

I don't usually see a lot of single climbers at the creek, that being said, there should be a lot of climbers there that time of year, so I don't think it would be too hard to join with groups of people. Generally when I've been at the creek, people just tend to climb in groups so that they can share gear, and I'm sure that there would be plenty of groups that would welcome one additional climber to them. Have fun, the creek is amazing!

On the weekends, hangout out at the popular walls, like Scarface and Supercrack. During the week, hit up the camping around Bridger Jack and Cottonwood. You're sure to find an odd-numbered party, its just that the weekend and weekday crowds congregate in different places.

I've gone to the creek solo and never had a day I wanted to climb but couldn't find partners. Walk around your campground and make friends. Don't be creepy or douchey.

One of my best trips to the Creek happened to have been solo - I hooked up with a couple whose goals were very sympatico with my own. The other time I was there on my own, I did get a fair amount of climbing in, but all the people I hooked up with had more moderate goals. So it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Mind you, I did meet some folks who were not great fits, on both trips. No worries, you just move on.

So, if you're friendly and outgoing, and you make an effort, you will definitely get to climb. Whether it'll be the trip of a lifetime - who knows. At least you'll be in the Creek - you can't beat that.

Have fun!

GO

Thanks everybody for your attention.

I'm now reassure about the possibility to find someone or join a group.

I'm so exited to be there. This climbing paradise take up my mind since very long time and none of my friend is work-free for traveling on this period. It will be a good opportunity to discover people too !
