went to teh bear carg over teh weke end with the mangler. main project was Bear Backin' It, which I zent on Sunday. Also onzited Tony's new rowt Livewire -- movement was fun, the rowt-cleaning left a lot to be desired. Very steep jugs, mostly; with a couple smaller holds. At the bottom there is a microwave+ sized-block that you pull on and make a big move off of -- it does not seem that secure, though it isn't moving (yet). Then in the top steep jugs section, there are a few holds that creak. The worst of them was creaking badly, so I got on the anchor direct and with a couple sharp kicks, pieces were coming free. The main block was about the size of a toaster. Hold was unnecessary to teh rowt (jugs abound up there), just there to ruin someone's day.

Plus, you know what a climb you failed to insight is right? NOTHING!!!

It's knot that sekrit and in the guidebuk now, right? true and true. Still low key though, and guarded by a horrendous hike. You hike down, much like going down into a HOLE. Getting in you get the shaky knees. Going out hurts the quads. I'd say getting out is like doing a Castleton. Maybe 45 minutes to hike out? I forget how long Castleton actually is, been a few years.

And it's more that you have to tell us the the grade of the climbs you failed to onsite... But anyway, I am not sure why I took on the spray-police role in jack's absence. I am not objecting. You know I like spray. In fact, let me tell you, there is this 13a that I failed to onsight this spring...

My callouses are getting pretty intense, especially on my pinky. Thoughts? I'm worried I'll absent mindedly chew them off.

Hm, I just took a foot file to them - I think that's the trick! Calluses are good! And yeah, file them down to where they don't rip off. I am losing all my skin, so I am the opposite of you. So sad to see all the hard-won fingertip skin slouching away.
