Weyerhaeuser, has closed all access from the lower gate into the Callahans until about mid summer while they bring equipment in and harvest. Please note that some of our old contacts with the company have retired and we are in the process of building new relations. Please pass this on to others so that there are no missteps in the months to come.

Was in Roseburg, so I drove to the Callahans to check it out. Saw the sign that said no access, including rock climbing, so ended up heading over to the honeycombs.. Bummer deal! Hopefully access will be open soon!

They have moved their logging operations away from the area of concern and it appears (unofficially) that access is open to climbing on Saturdays and Sundays while no logging is going on.
I would still recommend not parking at the lower gate on weekedays while they are logging.

There are no longer access issues to the Callahans.
Gates were open from Oct to mid March this year as in past. Now that the gates have closed again, park at lower gate on Touchstone anytime of the week.

I heard through the grapevine that there's a permit required to access the Callahans now. Is that true?
